[2009.05.22]
Today was kinda special.
Just like the title says, its an UNintentional farewell for me.
Our initial plan was to celebrate Wing and Mei Leng's birthday but things made a turning point somewhere towards the end.
Full story as follows.
About two days ago, cHieN asked me if I wanna go see Eewen because she will be singing in Station 1, Jaya One.
You know how I'm into music especially unplugged(s) so of course I wanna go la!!
*Main reason is because Eewen's a very very good friend*
This morning, cHieN told me that she called some people to celebrate Wing and Mei Leng's birthday since Wing will be joining us also.
Wing and Mei Leng are siblings.
Wing's birthday is on May 22 and Mei Leng's the next day.
*No they are not twins who were born at 11:59pm and 12:01am*
cHieN, Kim Fong and I are the 1st to arrive at the venue for some reason.
The rest arrive much later.
As the singing performance starts, so will the photos.
*Oh some photos turned out bad because the place isn't well lid enough for my kit lens*
So..Here goes!!
*Eewen singing*
*She has a really nice voice*
*cHieN and Leslie - Angels forever!!!*
*Wing playing Stacks*
*Removing the tile very carefully as it is already quite unstable*
*Joanne getting pretty excited over the fall of Stacks*
During all these while, people in our "guest list" are turning up one by one.
Then suddenly, Faith walked into Station One.
The thing is, cHieN didn't call Faith.
Faith walked into Station One just to borrow the washroom and so ngam we were there.
Its a really funny twist of fate.
cHieN and I were like "interogating" Faith if Jenny secretly asked her to join us.
Poor innocent Faith.
*cHieN and Faith*
When everyone got ready, Eewen began to sing the birthday song on stage.
and cHieN brought the cake out.
*Wing looks delighted to see the cake*
*cHieN inviting Mei Leng out to sit with Wing*
*Wing clapping after Eewen finished her birthday song*
*Birthday siblings blowing out the candle while Eric(Mei Leng's fiance) block the wind*
These 2 photos turned very reddish because the employees there suddenly off the lights for us.
*Wing and his ever mischievious ways - what is he going to do?*
*This 32-year old BOY says "Olympics!!"*
*Birthday cake for the day - Green Tea Cheesecake with Red Beans*
The cake was special and good!!
*Celebrating birthdays together with your sibling is really heartwarming*
*Chan Wing Leong prepares to strike the cake*
*William(behind Wing) being camera shy - AS IF!!*
*Mei Leng with olympic medal + cHieN*
*Cherry as a farewell gift from Wing*
We were all happily celebrating the sibling's birthday.
Crazy bunch doing crazy things..loud too!!
*I bet the other patrons were like "eh, you're not the only one here okay"*
Then suddenly Eewen read out a song dedication.
Song title: 下个星期去英国 (Going to England next week)
Eewen looked at me with a very familiar look.
This song was so meant for me.
Then she started saying that she has a friend who will be going to UK in two weeks time(me)
And how she hated the feeling of separation.
At that moment, cHieN and I knew that the three of us (cHieN, Eewen, Me) are going to get emotional.
Story about Eewen:
Eewen is a girl I knew in 30Hour Famine Camp 2008.
She is a really nice girl.
Maybe its because she really treat people with much sincerity.
Much like me, Eewen gives everyone(even new acquaintance) 100marks and the marks diminishes as things go bad.
Because of this characteristic she has, we believe that Eewen is prone to heartaches often.
But yet because of this, she's nice to everyone and we love her alot!!
Also much like me, Eewen tears easily.
We were always spotted tearing in camps *laughs*
Back from the story..
*Eewen singing the song with so much feelings*
*The feelings overwhelmed us*
Note to girlf: The hug was nothing romantic!!
*We know that Eewen tries to control her tears*
Right after that song, its birthday celebration NO MORE..
The spotlight was on me and somehow it felt like we're already bidding each other goodbye *though I'll still be meeting some of them again*
As emotions flow in everyone, we start to take group photos.
It just feels like a farewell photo where everyone is in it *lol*
*Group Photo 1: Not in pic - Me, Eewen, Jenny*
*Group Photo 2: Not in pic - Eric, Eewen*
Wing doing sausage lips.
*Group Photo 3: Everyone in photo*
Wing with fake boobs.
*Group Photo 4: Everyone in photo*
Wing's fake boobs because binoculars.
*Good friends stay good forever*
*Lovely couple getting married at the end of the year*
*Joanne and Eewen*
*Mei Leng, cHieN, Jenny, Faith*
*Eewen comes into the photo..*
*..so do Michelle and Joanne*
*Mei Leng - 30Hour Famine 2008 Group 7 member*
*Wing - Never fails to entertain*
*Michelle - Wing's fiance*
Wing and Michelle are another couple getting married next year in March.
So there are three couples who are soon-to-be wedded.
1. William and fiance
2. Eric and Mei Leng
3. Wing and Michelle
Congrats to them!!!
Something about Michelle:
Just knew today that Michelle is a lecturer in my college TARC. She has been teaching in School of Arts and Science for eight years already. Mainly teaching E-commerce and yet we've never bumped into each other during my five years of studying there!!!
*Me seating on Sean's lap* *lol*
*Joanne*
*Jenny - Kindergarden teacher*
*Faith*
*The so-called lou gu pohs and their TIANG*
*Sean looking helpless while Wing gets high by touching his "tits"*
*Two innocent man being forced by Wing*
*My closest friends in Heap Hope Angels - Sean also la!!*
I love seeing these two girls together. I've written a post about them last year during Eewen's birthday. You can check it out here to know more.
cHieN, Eewen, and Sean used to live close to each other until Eewen move to Bandar Puteri, Puchong due to work.
So they were very close and I believe that they to contact each other very often.
But I was different. I rarely contact Eewen and Sean unless we meet.
As for cHieN, we talk to each other relatively little as compared to my other friends.
But somehow I do feel the closeness whenever we meet.
This feeling of really clicking although you seldom meet really feels good!!
You know, I feel truly blessed to have such friends.
Friends who have the same goal to achieve when we have projects going on.
Everyone has a common goal and thats what pulls us together.
This bunch of friends take their jobs seriously.
They are truly committed to their work and definitely shows up for meeting every wednesday.
They showed me the true meaning of a COMMITee.
I haven't had the chance to be in the COMMITee yet because I'm going to UK real soon therefore I can't COMMIT.
But I will COMMIT myself in that group when I'm back in Malaysia.
Other than working seriously in projects, this bunch of friends are all crazy!!
When its playtime *like now* everyone really goes crazy especially Wing.
Maybe because this group's average age is much higher than Jetavanians, they really know when to play and when to be serious.
*cHien and I are the youngest in that group compared to me being the oldest in the Jetavanian group*
I really learn alot from them and do love them alot.
I have lots to say to Heap Hope Angels but this post is getting too long.
I'll leave those words for another day.
